Reel History:

America on Screen

Course Description:

In this thought-provoking enrichment course, students will dive into key events in American history and explore how those moments are remembered, represented, and reinterpreted—especially through film and media. Each week, we’ll study a major historical event, engage in group discussions, analyze primary sources, and examine how visual storytelling (cinematography, lighting, sound, editing, etc.) influences our understanding of the past.

History is more than facts—it's the story we choose to tell, and how we choose to tell it.
